Why has RB Pricing Changed this year – for 2020?
Glad you asked (a few returning guests have) :)
Actually . . . our prices change a little each year - and most of our prices haven't changed that much at all.
We are STILL an amazing deal for the Anderson Valley/Coast area and proud to be as affordable an option as we can be.
You can book us on Airbnb or you can avoid the additional service fees by booking with us directly.
Just look to see what's available on the listings on the Airbnb site, let us know the dates you're interested in and we'll invoice you directly, as we always have! We can offer discounts for 1 week or more stays.

One small difference: We used to have a very low price for camping for 1 person or Rustic Cabins for 1 person. We now a base price that is built for 2 people. See the reasons why that is necessary below. . . .
In the past, much of our overhead costs were covered by Group retreats and Weddings and so Individuals/Families could be booked in addition, just for direct costs. Now, in order to be open at all, we need to cover all the direct costs of reservations as well as cover a small amount of our general overhead. Because of County restrictions (and our desire for safety for all) we need to have far fewer people on-site to accomplish safe booking practices. Here is a short list of what our prices need to accommodate:

Here is a short list of what our prices need to accommodate:
- After we lost our entire year of bookings - 9 months of booked group retreat and wedding income - we had to switch our whole business to all individuals, and use a platform like Airbnb, since we don't have enough regular individual guests to make it work. We need to have have the same pricing structure through emailed reservations as Airbnb. However, folks can book us through the office to avoid the extra Airbnb service fees - so you can do that!
- Our total Overhead (insurance, permits, facilities wages, repairs, taxes), now needs to be divided by a smaller number of people each week.
- Only 2 people/families at a time in the campground so that everyone has their own bathroom.
- Only 2 rustic cabins available so that each has their own bathroom.
- Only 50% occupancy and 24 hours between guests.
- A huge investment of time and money in staff training, PPE, new systems, upgrades to cabins for kitchens so guests can better cook in them, more garbage to manage as guests cook from home . . .
- Much higher cleaning time costs for Covid safe practices (every single kitchenette item has to be sterilized between uses)
- Even if we have a really good rest of the summer with individuals coming up, we will still be deeply in the red for this year without group retreats and wedding. Trust us - we are all working very hard to stay open to all the families and individuals who need and enjoy this place of sanctuary!!
The good news: We are doing our best to stay open and glad to see so many happy new and returning guests.
Thanks for understanding and investing in your safe, healthy retreat here!
